ok, i admit, it was a beautiful day here, 80 degree's, sunny, absolutely gorgeous.........well, i was just soooooooooo hot that i took my shirt off and did some yard work topless....my gosh, all the guys in my nieghborhood all of a sudden came out and started doing some lawn work also...one car even ran off the road into a telephone pole, i hurried over to see if the driver was ok, and thankfully he was, as he put his head on my chest to rest.

i asked him he was thirsty, cuz he was drooling......he said yes, and we went inside and had a nice cold glass of lemonade..

haha!

I'm not D/f or D/a and my dad wont even talk to me

the last time i heard from my father, was last july , a few days before a special assembly day.

he heard that we were not going to meeting anymore, which was stange since hubby was an elder last time he thought to check on me.

i have always been the good daughter, the one who stayed in "the truth" , the one he was so proud of.

How sad. Hang in there. You have your children and yourself to look after. You need to occupy your mind with other activities and come to the realization that if that's the way the witnesses view their families who no longer go to their meetings, so be it. Why make your life miserable? Many on this forum will encourage you to move on and believe me, you will be better for it. There is continued life after leaving the org. just as there was another life when you got married. Slowly move on.

Prince & the "Special Talk"

i can't go into the details for obvious reasons about how i found this out but it seems his purple badness made a stop into a kingdum hall in houston, texas today for their supposedly "special talk".

i was told his entourage stayed outside while he attended.

i believe this to be highly likely since he was scheduled to play a concert in that city sometime this weekend.

Watchtower leadership say We Don't Make Rules!

an announcement on the official web-site of jehovah's witnesses is causing some 'eyebrows to be raised'.. the watchtower society have announced that they "avoid making rules and regulations beyond those provided in the scriptures, and they do not follow traditions that contradict bible teachings.

emphasis is placed on personal application of bible principles and the value of a sound, bible-based conscience.. this comes as a surprise to many thousands in the jehovah's witness community who have become accustomed to the changing rules and regulations imposed compulsorily on its members.. it should be noted in the watchtower society's statement that "emphasis is placed on personal application of bible principles".

this will come as a surprise to many of its members.

In all my letter writing I was relentless with the scripture at 1Cor. 4:6 which says in part, "Now brothers,....that in our case You may learn the rule: "Do not go beyond the things that are written,..."

The Elders misapplied Acts 26:20 in my situation. My not attending meetings during my judical hearings meant to a particular Elder that I was not repentant. Paul in this instance was not talking to a body of Elders or Christians but rather to a non-Christian ruler! What the hell did King agrippa know about works that befit repentance? NONE!

Mayor Daley of Chicago re: pedophiles

recently, the catholic diosocese of chicago came under heavy fire because the church here knows about pedophile preists, and covered it up.

however, the church has offered to now turn over all information they have on catholic peodphiles, especially preists.. at first, mayor daley, a roman catholic tried to say that the catholic church is no worse than other denominations ... but he still hated to see this problem in the church.

he subsequently has called for the state of illinois to "abolish" the statute of limitation on reporting and prosecuting sex offenders, especially pedophiles.. [b]could you ever imagine ... a local jw circuit or district overseer standing up on the news, calling for a political chnage in legislation that would enable jw victims to seek redress of their grievance be asking that the statute of limitations be dropped?.
